Homemade Red Sauce In 10 Mins | The Quarantine Cook

INGREDIENTS 

-1 onion finely diced

-2 cloves of garlic finely chopped 

-1 12 oz can of tomatoes (can be diced, crushed or whole peeled) 

-Chili flakes, salt & pepper

METHOD

-Place pan on med-high heat w/ a swing of olive oil

-Sweat onions for 2 mins or until translucent w/ plenty of salt

-Add garlic and stir until aromatic, 45 seconds to a minute 

-Pour in tomatoes and simmer for 10 min 

-If the sauce is too thick use cooked pasta water to thin it out

-Blend if desired

-Salt to taste
